How it works
The age calculator takes the date of birth you enter and compares it to the current time on your device. It splits the difference into whole years, months and days — with the extra hours, minutes and seconds shown live. Because months and leap years have different lengths, we walk the calendar the same way you would: subtract the year, then the month, then the day, borrowing days from the previous month when needed. The result is the age you'd say out loud, not a rounded number. The fun stats — heartbeats, breaths, full moons — are population averages multiplied by the number of days you've been alive. They're for scale and shareability, not medical accuracy.

Are the heartbeat and breath numbers real?open
They're estimates based on population averages of roughly 100,000 heartbeats and 23,000 breaths per day. Real numbers vary with age, fitness and activity, but the estimates give you a sense of scale.
How is my zodiac sign determined?open
By your birth month and day, using the standard western astrology cut-offs (for example Aries: 21 March – 20 April, Taurus: 21 April – 21 May, and so on).
Is my date of birth sent anywhere?open
No. Every calculation happens in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to a server. Nothing is stored unless you explicitly copy or share it.
How is my generation label chosen?open
By birth year using widely-cited cut-offs: Silent (before 1946), Boomer (1946–1964), Gen X (1965–1980), Millennial (1981–1996), Gen Z (1997–2012) and Gen Alpha (2013 onward).
